The final shape is based on the shape of a paper ship – an archetype with that of mass simplification of the traditional house – wooden houses in Liptov region in Slovakia. The form of the house diagonally set into the square surface with added beveled siurfaces and gabled roofs falling from the ridge, clearly define open interior layout. Its day area with entrance and terraces is complemented by bedroom lofts with a view towards the night sky through the skylights. There’s a pooosibility of creating a larger, more comfortable house by mirroring two “houseboats.” With private terraces facing the water, the structure separates public space from semi-public.
